“Ruka Rayen”
Only 23km from the busy town of Pucon you will find the guest house
Ruka Rayen. Run by a Chilean & Austrian couple. They are happy
to open their home to you to experience the local cultures and traditions.
Peter is Austrian and has travelled many countries by motorcycle and
has plenty of mountaineering experience.
Margot is Mapuche (Native Indian) and is proud of her heritage. She
will share with you the local traditions, pastimes and her love of
working with horses.
Our home is constructed of natural materials found locally and built
with much care and attention. Inside we offer large comfortable rooms
with private or shared bathroom. Breakfast with real coffee is also
included. For a small extra cost we can provide lunch and dinner made
with local organic food.
Our location is beside the Rio Palguin, a river famous for its kayaking.
We have excellent views of volcanoes "Volcan Villaricca"
and "Volcan Lanin" and surrounding mountains.
You can enjoy the beautiful countryside with various walking trails
starting from our doorstep. We also offer various horse back riding
trips with calm and friendly animals. You can also rent mountain bikes
and maps with marked routes, kayaks and equipment.
